In close distance from the village, the beautiful city of Gytheio is located and it offers a marine for boats, as well as ships for Crete, Kythira and Neapoli. Gytheio offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.

In twenty minutes from Skoutari, is located the paved city of Areopoli is located, also offering a variety of restaurants cafes and bars.

After Areopoli, you can visti the Diro’s caves (Vlychada) which is one of the best natural caves around the world.

Some other beautiful villages are Gerolimenas and Vatheia.

A reccomended roadtrip is to Porto Kagio and cape Tainaro, which is the shouthern part of Europe.

The rocky beaches of Limeni and Oitylo offer a unique view and they are ideal for snorkelling, as the bottom of the sea is very beautiful.
